The People Behind the Process
Rob Stephenson — Chief Technical Officer
Rob is a Canadian chemical engineer with over 40 years of experience solving industrial and environmental water problems. Based in Vancouver, he leads all technical development at Muddy River Technologies — designing treatment systems for mining, oil and gas, and site remediation that are effective without being overcomplicated.
Rob holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, along with a career spanning senior technical leadership roles across Canada and multiple patented wastewater and sludge treatment technologies. His expertise is in taking complex chemistry and turning it into systems that work in the real world — especially in remote and resource-driven environments.

Mike Gardner — General Manager
Mike has spent nearly two decades at Muddy River Technologies making sure that great technology gets delivered on time, on budget, and in working order. Based in Delta, he oversees the full lifecycle of project delivery — from planning through to commissioning — across mining, industrial, and remote site applications.
Where Rob builds the solution, Mike builds the outcome. His hands-on approach bridges design and execution, ensuring that complex treatment systems are implemented effectively no matter the conditions.
