Flocculator
Efficient and mechanically simple mixing of liquid coagulants, flocculants, acids or bases is essential for reliable process control, economical use of chemicals, and minimal generation of waste.
Flocculator creates mixing turbulence via water or wastewater flow to simply provide low shear contact between a pumped-in liquid reagents with in-coming water. Minimal chemical dosing saves costs for chemicals and lowers the amount of solid waste for disposal.
Flocculator has no external mixers and no moving parts, eliminating maintenance requirements. The only operating cost is incremental pumping energy needed to overcome a small increase in pressure drop caused by Flocculator’s convoluted mixing flow path. In contrast with static mixers, Flocculator provides longer contact mixing time resulting in more efficient use of reagents.
